Here's a view of the same installation area, with roll up door open. This is Andy Boss' pristine 1986 Carrera Targa. We traded out some work: I installed the XR series JL audio speakers in his doors (he already had the subwoofer enclosure I build) and he ran wire and mounted electrical outlets, which were sorely need in the installation and showroom areas. Thank you Andy!!!

This was my first attempt at framing an entire wall. I think I did okay, and it passed the building inspection. Most of the framing and drywall hanging I actually did by myself, which was kind of tricky with long, heavy materials. This is the view from the showroom, you can see the wall that will divide the showroom from center stockroom/office area, and the installation bays are way in the back on the other side of an existing wall that I later tore down.

Here is the showroom, after the drywall is in place and taped. I used over 15 gallons of joint compound/mud. After a month of all of this labor, I feel like I'm lifting weights again!

This is goofy old me, in my drywall hanging outfit. I found a cool holster for my Makita, and have everything else I need in the other apron.

My cool brother Jon loaned me his little beater S10 pickup, which was handy since my El Camino engine is still (!) not finished. V6 engine and excessive steering box "slop" make for one interesting ride. The couch you see was turned down by Salvation Army, :-(, so I cut it up with the Super Sawzall and fit it in my dumpster!
