From 1990-1998, Rod Birch worked out of his home, by national mail order and local installations, specializing in high end audio at an affordable price in the Porsche 911. The business grew steadily until 1999 when Rod started making trips to different parts of the United States to perform his custom stereo and alarm installation work on Porsches for people who would not trust "just anybody" to work on their car. Rod has also worked on many other cars and trucks out of his home as well as "mobile". The best part involved the two or three times a month Porsche 911 owners would bring their cars to Rod's house for the full system installation from all over Northern California (and a fellow from Southern Calif!). More international calls, a few more overseas shipments of custom Porsche subwoofer enclosures, and more travelling.

The retail store was born on June 23, 2000. The business is still growing steadily, and just over a year off "the road", Rod made another trip to Southern California the week of October 21-26, 2001, to perform upgrades and full system installations on 5 Porsche 911's, including a couple of 911SC's, a Carrera factory widebody, and two 993 C4S's. Meeting more Porsche owners, talking about cars, music, car audio, cars and music. (Still more installations in 2002 to Southern California for several more 911's, then two trips in 2004 to So Cal-several 993's including a majority of S cars, a 996, Carrera 3.2 coupe, Carrera 3.2 cab..., and one trip to Kentucky for a 993TT in Lexington and a restored '83 SC cab in Louisville before flying back home!) Super nice people with really nice cars are our favorite kind of customers.
Our focus is on quality installation work, integration with the car aesthetically as well as functionally. OEM grade wear and tear resistance throughout the installation, with a profound improvement in sound quality of downright audiophile proportions-for a fraction of what one can pay at a "salon" type shop for lesser quality work and sound.
