2003 BMW E46 M3
A local customer brought his beautiful white M3 cabriolet for an audio system upgrade. He was trying to keep things on some type of budget but wanted good clean sound. We were able to work up an estimate for what I (Rod) recommended. He later came back and Carl reworked with some lesser equipment and fit his budget.

Here's this beautiful white M3 cab in our shop. I'm (Rod) walking past the car here in the photo. How come no one told me about my hair loss! geez!

Here's what the trunk looked like when we were finished. The Audison LRX 6.9 amplifier runs everything, and we made a panel that trims the amplifier for a pretty clean look with matching carpet.

Here's the box that Rod built. The finished subwoofer setup included a pair of JL Audio 8W3 8" subwoofers in a box that positions them to fire into the interior through the factory subwoofer opening and rear armrest. Since we had some suede material sitting around, I used that instead of carpet to cover the cosmetic portion of the box that you see here.

Here's a shot of the rear of the M3 when it was all done and we were charging the battery. With Hertz speakers, factory headunit, JL subs and Audison amplifier, this car sounds really good and has great bass response-especially for a convertible!
