Mark's Harley

Mark is a regular customer of ours, and we talked about doing some work on a bike he was about to customize with some paintwork and a bunch of performance goodies.

Here it is after we started tearing it down.  Charlie did just about all the work himself, he's one of our star installers.   We installed an Arc Audio Mini amplifier, 2 pairs of Hertz 5.25" coaxial speakers, an indash Kenwood flip out LCD headunit with navigation (!) and an Ipod interface.

Here is a shot inside the saddlebags.  Charlie fabricated this panel in the front of each saddlebag to protect and conceal the back of the speakers that he custom mounted to the front of each saddlebag.  The Ipod cable was also routed to this saddlebag.

This shot shows both saddlebags open as we worked on it.  All wiring was routed neatly using protective vinyl tubing just like the factory wiring.

Here's what the headunit looks like in the open position.  Yes, it blocks the gauges, but can easily be closed and the music still plays, the navigation prompts still play over the speakers as well.  Volume, tuning, and track selection can also be controlled by the factory handlebar controls, which we integrated to work the Kenwood unit.

Here it is ready for Mark to pick it up.  Mark was super happy, and that made us feel good.

Thanks Mark!  Good job Charlie!
