Vintage Mini Cooper

Lance is one of our regular and favorite customers.  He is THE coolest.  We've worked on his motorhome, company vehicles, and he brought us this cool little Mini Cooper, vintage style with modern features.

Apparently there's an outfit in Georgia and they specialize in rebuilding older style Mini Coopers with modern suspension, Acura engine and transmission, new interior, and they sell them turn-key.  Lance dreamed about one of these cars since he was a kid.

Here is a picture showing the (tilt!) front end opened up, displaying the Acura GSR motor with Jackson Racing supercharger.(!)  250 HP if I remember correctly, just enough power to spin the tires out of control in the first 3 gears.

Here is the dash, showing the Focal Polykevlar speakers, alarm wiring and installation, with the woodgrain dash, wheel, and nice leather seats.

Lance opted for one of the nicer amplifiers, the Audison VRX4.300 to run the Focal component speakers and single 11" Focal subwoofer in the trunk.  Our installer Matt built a curved subwoofer enclosure to tuck into the trunk.  This system rocks!
