Our buddy John brought his BMW cabriolet to us for some installation work. We installed some Crystal component speakers, a Pioneer indash 6400CD with 6.5" LCD screen, 6 disc DVD changer in the trunk, XM satellite radio, MTX 5 channel amplifier, and dual 8" MTX subwoofers in a custom box.

The dual 6000 series 8" subwoofers are each happy in their own sealed chambers of .4 cubic feet, braced, stuffed, and lined. Clean bass!

The rear armrest was removed, and a panel trimmed to allow the bass to freely vent into the interior of the car. Otherwise, the bass would have been confined almost entirely to the trunk.

‘Nothing super fancy, but we did make a trim panel to flush mount the amplifier, and we built a small housing to cover and protect the DVD changer. John still has some trunk space, and the spare tire can still be accessed without the use of tools.
