Jim's Cayman S

Jim bought a used Cayman S, a beautiful one indeed, and the dealership arranged to have one of our trademark Level 1 upgrades done before Jim picked up the car from them.

Here's where we started.  This is a gorgeous car. The S denotes performance features over the "standard" Cayman (which is really quite a bit of car anyway!) with more horsepower, those beatiful 'big red' brakes peeking out through the wheels.  This is a machine.  'now it was time to install a Kenwood double din touchscreen headunit with Garmin GPS navigation and Ipod interface.  The new amp is a Hertz 5 channel that we love, along with a crossover arrangement to interface with the factory speakers.

As usual, the only lacking of this entire car, in my humble opinion, is the factory sound system.  We've actually found that installing a nice aftermarket headunit and a real amplifier in place of the factory stuff yields much better sound quality, volume, and bass response-even with the factory speakers!  Upgrading to real speakers is the next step, and expect a noticeable improvement again!  Add a real subwoofer or two and get ready to boogie.  People will watch you getting down at traffic lights.  They won't hear it, but you'll giggle as you try to contain yourself until the light turns green.  It sounds THAT good!  Level 1, 2, or 3 will put a big smile on your face.  The smile just gets bigger as you move "up".
