Ferrari 308 GTS
Here's a "Magnum P.I." type Ferrari from the mid 80's.

On this car, the owner was interested in upgrading the sound, but was unwilling to spend the money required to fix an antenna problem or make significant sound improvements.
We installed a quality basic Kenwood indash AM/FM/CD player, since the owner indicated that he didn't really need radio reception, he'd just listen to CD's.
We later learned that he'd gone to a "cheap discount" type shop to have an alarm installed and some stereo components, resulting in the car sometimes not starting, and I can only imagine what kind of wiring and work they performed. He went back to that shop for warranty work but they'd since closed. We're familiar with the shop and think it's a shame that a nice car isn't being maintained well but is instead being operated by the owner only for the image, or prestige gained by the outward appearance of the car. I feel sorry for whomever buys this car next, since it will be more expensive now to correct the bad quality work that's been done to at least bring it back to original and unmolested condition. Sheesh. What a shame.
