2000 Ford F150

Gabe dropped off his 2000 Ford F150 Supercrew with some requirements: The subwoofer enclosure had to fit in a small area in the rear of the cab, and some deep component speakers had to fit into the doors.

Gabe's box was designed for some unusual 8" subwoofers that he obtained elsewhere, which (fortunately) required only .25 cubic feet of airspace per subwoofer. We built our traditional overengineered, rigid, solid, lined and braced enclosure of 3/4" MDF, filled with Acousta-Stuf, wired with Stinger Pro Series 12 gauge speaker wire. The carpet was a good match for his grey interior.

This picture shows the box installed next to the Planet Audio amplifiers on the rear wall of the truck cab. We dampened all four doors and the rear wall with Stinger's Road Kill Pro series dampening mat.

Gabe opted for a Nakamich CD-45z AM/FM/CD player. These units look basic, even OEM, and are very high quality with lots of nice features and a wireless remote control. The installation kit comes with a storage pocket.
