1986 Porsche Carrera Cabriolet
Dean contacted us by email, then we discussed options for upgrading the sound in his 1986 Carrera Cabriolet. Then he drove his car to us from San Francisco to spend a Saturday hanging out at our store. Dean is a super cool guy, and his tastes reflect this. ;) He opted for the subwoofer enclosure with Image Dynamics 8" subs and some Focal component speakers for his doors.
This was a bit of a squeeze. Dean has a DAS rollbar in his car, w/5 point harnesses. (Ready to autocross!) The enclosure just fit, and the Image Dynamics ID8 subwoofers simply rocked! (Shown before grilles were installed.)
We happily replaced the Sony cheapie separates with some nice focal Polyglass components. These, along with the Image subs and Nakamichi head unit make for one really nice sounding system, with wonderful response across the entire musical range. The sound is incredible, even with the top down!
