2001 996 Coupe

Dan previously brought his 1987 Carrera cabriolet to us for "the system", and now he brought his brand new 2001 Porsche 996 coupe. Oh man, ‘cool car!

Dan opted for the Nakamichi MB-100 indash AM/FM/CD 6 disc changer with offboard 24 bit D/A converter and 5 volts of preamp signal. Like all Nakamichi head units, it looks right at home in the Porsche dash!

Dan recently asked us to upgrade his amplifiers and some subs.  Now he has an ARC Audio 2500 amplifier (1000 watts!) driving a pair of Phoenix Gold Titanium 10" subwoofers in a custom enclosure, and 2 ARC Audio 2050 amplifiers driving his Focal 3 way component set in front and Focal Utopia 5WS subwoofers in the rear behind the side panels.  Wow, all the clean tight bass you could ever want!  (The amplifiers match the exterior of his car very well!)

Here are the amplifiers with the blue neon illuminating the area below the mesh grill window.  A monitor cap with voltage display is also visible, nestled among the three ARC Audio amplifiers.

Below shows the final enclosure, with a pair of Focal Polyglass 11" subs.
