1966 Ford Mustang

Curtis is one of our regular customers, he has a Superduty F250 which we installed a ton of gear into including backup camera as well as a front bumper cam to aid in parking his lifted beast.  Now he brought us his pride and joy, his childhood dream car:

Here it is, in all of its glory. Curtis put some sweet late model Bullitt wheels, 17" with modern performance tires on it.  They're an excellent match for his two-tone paint scheme.

Here's the sweet powerplant.  This is a 351W engine stroked to 408 or so, all performance parts, wild cam, and the idle sounds just plain wicked and healthy.  This is mated up to a modern 5 speed stickshift transmission.  What a machine!

Alright, enough of my yakkin' about the mechanicals, here's where we did our thing.  Curtis opted for a nice late model Kenwood Excelon headunit, AM/FM/CD with Ipod interface.

Here's where our installation manager Carl worked his magic.  We fabricated a set of panels and enclosures to cover the trunk mounted battery on the right, the amplifier on the left, and the subwoofer in the forward portion of the trunk, including a false floor to make everything blend together.  This picture doesn't do it justice, since everything is carpeted in black, but it's all flush, with hidden grills to allow the subwoofer to play freely and to allow the amplifier to breathe and stay cool.  The cover over the battery is easily accessed, revealing storage for jumper cables.

Here's a picture showing the rear speakers we installed in a custom panel wrapped in suede.  This forms a solid, airtight mount for the 6x9 speakers and looks good.

One more shot of this machine and the finished trunk.  Good job Carl and Charlie, thanks for the business Curtis!
