1994 Porsche 911 Speedster

Brad called us from the North SF Bay Area looking for a good stereo system for his 1994 Porsche 911 Speedster (rare!). He’d checked around local shops in Marin, but they quoted him around $5k for a nice upgrade. After we spoke on the phone and traded a few emails, Brad brought his car to us and left it for a few days.

This is a very limited edition car, made only in 1994 (an earlier version was built in 1989), with special top, hard tonneau cover, shorter windscreen, hand crank windows, and some other goodies. This car is in perfect condition!

We installed a set of Focal Polykevlar component speakers in the doors, shown below.

Brad opted for the MTX Thunder 5 channel amplifier, a great choice. 4 gauge power wire, Stinger twisted pair RCA’s, and some quality speaker wire ensure the best performance from this monster.

This was an unusual application for our famous subwoofer panels. Since the Speedster has no rear seat, we trimmed the enclosures a bit differently so they’d blend in with the rear of the interior. ‘Covered in Porsche Black Grey sliverknit carpet, of course!

Brad’s a super nice guy, and he’s digging the system!
