1997 Porsche 993 Twin Turbo
Bob heard about us on the Porsche 911 Rennlist group on the internet, and drove his car to Sacramento from the South Bay Area, leaving it for the day.
Bob's 993 TT received the following equipment :
Kenwood AM/FM/CD head unit
Sony 300 watt amplifier
JL Audio component door speakers
Kenwood 4x6 rear speakers
Car Audio Innovations custom subwoofer enclosure
with dual 8" Kicker Competition subwoofers
Bob says he's very happy with the system, and now has music he can hear and appreciate over the aftermarket exhaust system and 420 Horsepower!
Above pictures show Before (left), and after (right) the subwoofer installation This is usually a challenging car. The enclosures that I build for these cars (1995-1998 911, or "993") are similar to the earlier style for the 1990-1994 911, or "964". These have the same basic configuration as the earlier cars, the 1974-1989 911 & 930, except that the earlier versoin is a single panel versus two individual panels. Bob is the owner of this pristine Porsche, and his sound system is remarkable, with plenty of tight, accurate bass, excellent, clear mids and highs This system is such an improvement over the factory Becker head unit and Nokia speakers, it's like a completely different car. He's happy because of the sound quality, and the stereo is no longer "drowned out" by the aftermarket exhaust on his twin-turbocharged car. 300 watts + 420 horsepower = one very fun Porsche. |
