2009 Porsche 997 C4S
This was another car driven to us from Southern California (about a 5-6 hour drive!) where our customer stayed overnight locally to provide us with 2 full days to work on his car. Marty had heard about us, did some research, and decided that we were the shop and worth the drive.(!)

Here it is. Let's take it apart. The C4S has the wider body like the Turbo, has big brakes, more power than a standard 997 (911) and all wheel drive. Buddy.

Here's the trunk while we ran wire into and out of the trunk. We interfaced with the factory headunit, using a JL Audio Cleansweep, but it also required more "dummy loads" to make the factory headunit happy. I think we prefer changing out the factory headunit on these cars! If the factory amp doesn't see the proper loads, it will shut off sound, leading to intermittent operation! doh!

Here's what the trunk looked like after we stuffed the Cleansweep into the factory amplifier area, mounted the Audio Control DQS and the Audison LRX6.9. This all drove Hertz high end 3-way component speakers in the dash and doors, modest rear side speakers, and our triple JL Audio 6W3 subwoofer package, similar to the 996 coupe style setup.

This was a bit tricky, mounting the DDC controller for the Audio Control EQ in the driver door pocket, under the armrest, in a custom bezel we built. This was exactly what Marty wanted so he could change from one preset EQ setting to another. We used an RTA to provide one "flat" EQ preset too, of course!

Here's a shot of this beautiful car with one of the optional sport seats removed. Yikes, this seat looks an awful lot like something you'd find in a hardcore track car, and it's factory original!

Here's a shot of Tony working on the driver door, he fashioned the DDC controller bezel and performed all the speaker mounting work in both doors and dash. Carl and Charlie handled the amplifier mounting and wiring. Good work guys!
