2008 Porsche 997S coupe

A local high end car dealership recently contacted us about adding navigation, handsfree Bluetooth and an Ipod interface to a car they were in the midst of selling to a local customer.

Man, what a beautiful car!  This Porsche is a dark green metallic, with (I think) Savannah Beige interior.  Since the car is an S, it also has the big brakes, more power than the standard 997 (911), and just drives really nice.  The 6 speed is the only way to go!

This is where we installed the amplifier.  Carl did 99% of the actual installation of the Hertz amplifier and new Kenwood double din headunit, all in one full day.  Then he built a cover for the ampliflier, which blends in really well with the trunk.

Look at that! This panel is a pressure fit item, and it covers, protects the amp, but also allows air to circulate.  Access to the tire inflator is still easy, and bags, etc., can be stowed in the trunk without worrying about damaging or overheating the amp.

Here's one shot of the new Kenwood double din headunit in place with a custom dash bezel/trim ring that we fabricated and painted to match.

This is the bootup screen when you first start the car, just like the factory setup.  This shows blue illumination around the Kenwood buttons, but we changed that to a matching illumination color before releasing the vehicle to the new happy owner.  This allows the unit to blend in with the rest of the dash lighting.

One last shot of this beautiful car.  Good job Carl and Tony (who built the dash bezel), another great sounding Porsche 997.  It's amazing how much better these cars sound even with the stock speakers once you install a real amplifier in them!
